U12 Badgers End Year as Champions

With results elsewhere gone the Badgers way this week, a visit to Bradford Eagles was next match with aim to finish this half of season unbeaten.
The slope at BoA is always tricky when playing uphill, with a certain slickness off the surface meaning ball and opposition players arrive faster at the defence. Getting used to this along with some unnecessary lack of composure across the team offered Eagles several chances before tgey took the lead.
Some positional changes made with additional direction quickly kicked Badgers into action and soon after chances came for Badgers and equaliser from Oscar Fox following some good interaction on left side. More chances created but thwarted by some excellent and perhaps robust defending. Badgers did take lead a few minutes before break when Freddie List-Rose edged home from close range after some excellent perseverence.
The second half shooting downhill was different story, Badgers dominating play and creating numerous chances, but a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept score down. Goals from Ross Northcote-Green, Oscar Fox and Sam Gaule made the result comfortable in the end, but many players across the whole team contributed to an excellent performance and outcome. Special mention to Keepers Ligan Banfield and Ellis Ashton as many stages of game with little to do, but kept up concentration to be ready if needed.
The season so far has been exceptional, 9 league wins, 1 draw, 1 cup win and 1 friendly win and no losses is an excellent record and looking forward to keeping that going as long as possible into next calendar year.
