So Many Chances......!

Worton & Cheverell under 11's played the first leg of the U11 cup against Bradford on Avon Stingrays, a team we have played before in the league and in a friendly tournament before Christmas, so we knew each other well.
The game was played in very strong wind which definitely affected the players.
Like most Champions League matches, you can dominate a game but if you don't score your chances, you leave yourself at risk of a breakaway goal against you. Worton dominated for 20 minutes in the first half but failed to convert as many as they should and in teh last 10 minutes of the half were hit by sucker punch from the opposition.
A good discussion at half time and the team came out with more determination than they finished the first half and managed to convert some chances to give themselves a slender advantage for the second leg next week. A very well done to Jack T for his fantastic performance in the match.
